Egypt’s Industrial Development Authority (IDA) seeks to complete preparing the operating regulation of the law that will reform its role by the end of January 2019.
Egypt’s parliament has approved a landmark law aimed at reforming the role of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), a government body which will be tasked with boosting development in the country’s industrial sector.
The 37-article law will turn the IDA into an independent economic authority which “will work in coordination with the Ministries of Industry and Trade in boosting investments in the industrial sector.”
A source told Amwal Al ghad that IDA is currently negotiating 12 articles in order to reach a final draft.
