Egypt’s Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is planning to launch a number of land plots over 18 million square metres for investors during 2020 according to Magdy Ghazy, the head of IDA.
He also noted during a forum in Morocco that IDA has launched 43.5 million metre square of utilised land plots in all governorates since July 2016, which reflected the Egyptian government efforts.
Ghazy also noted that the government has launched a new portal for the industrial investment map while launching 2000 investments opportunities.
The map is the first guide for lands and industrial zones, comprising all data with regards to vacant lots ready to be tapped as investment opportunities in the new cities and governorates.
He also added that IDA is also working to develop and upgrade 134 industrial zones, which qualifies Egypt for the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.
