The second forum of information technology (IT) enterprises which is organized by the Egyptian Information and Communication Technology Ministry (MCIT) has just started this morning at the ministry’s headquarters in Smart Village in the presence of Eng. Atef Helmy, Egypt’s (ICT) Minister alongside senior officials who are involved in cooperation agreements with the ministry.
The forum is scheduled to review the strategic objectives of the recently-signed protocols; developing the domestic demand, improving the services provided for the citizens, upgrading the public-sector employees’ skills as well as advancing the mechanization of the state’s administrative sectors.
The forum will further discuss 85 new projects in ICT sector planned to be carried out to serve more than 15 Ministry and governmental authorities with total cost of EGP 500 million. Those projects are scheduled to be implemented within the coming 5 years.
Moreover, this forum comes to resume the proceedings and pledges of its former organized last April which was attended by a large number of private-sector companies , NGOs (the Chamber of Information Technology and Communication Industry, Electronics & Software Alliance – Eitesal) and SMEs representatives.
