Egypt’s main stock index falls 0.65%, market cap losses EGP 4.7 billion
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index plunging 0.65 percent to 11,448 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell 0.87 percent to 2,391 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped 0.39 percent to 14,090 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 edged down 0.75 percent to 3,417 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 traded 0.66 percent lower to 2383 points.

Total market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 4.7 billion Egyptian pounds ($300.3 million) to close at 699.523 billion pounds on Tuesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Tuesday, the trading value has approximately reached 2.2 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 615.874 million securities executed 48,694 transactions.
