Egypt’s non-oil exports surged 12 percent to $30.4 billion in the first ten months of the year compared to $27.1 billion in the same period in 2021, the trade ministry said on Wednesday.
The country’s exports of chemical industries and fertilisers recorded around $7.118 billion, the ministry added. Exports of building materials and food industries reached $5.751 billion and $3.463 billion, respectively.
Egypt is implementing a full-scale strategy to boost exports, including intensifying local production.
Exports of ready-made textile stood at $2.092 billion in the first ten months of 2022.
