A number of Egyptian state-run construction firms have implemented various works worth 23.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.3 billion) at the end of 2016, a source in HCCD Company said Tuesday.
The construction firms were mandated to execute more giant flagships, the source in the Holding Company for Construction and Development (HCCD) further stated, adding these projects doubled the firms’ businesses in the local market.
Asked about the companies’ more projects, the source referred that they have carried out roads, tunnels, and bridges works estimated at 8.7 billion pounds in Cairo and other governorates.
The source showed that these companies also implemented additional housing flagships of 2.5 billion pounds and health business systems for buildings of 302.3 billion pounds as well as educational units of 533.3 million pounds.
“The firms have established utilities networks and infrastructure projects in the new cities,” he concluded.
