President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi had conducted Friday a series of meetings on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa in Jordan, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
Al-Sisi met with King Abdullah of Jordan to discuss international issues and how to maintain security in the MENA region.
The Egyptian president also met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Iraqi Vice President Eyad Alawi to discuss bilateral relations, the challenge of terrorism and extremism, and the latest developments in the Middle East.
He had also met with speaker of the Iraqi parliament Selim Gabouri and Iraqi Kurdish politician Masoud Barzani.
The Egyptian president addressed the delegates on Friday, announcing that Egypt will be hosting the 2016 forum in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Al-Sisi stressed his country’s commitment to the political roadmap that was put in place after the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi.
