Egypt’s stock exchange indexes bounce back, EGX 30 surges 1.29% on Thursday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes bounced back on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index surging 1.29 percent to 11.070 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) jumped 3.11 percent to 1,857 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped added 1.47 percent to 12,798 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 climbed 2.84 percent to 2,736 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 advanced 2.78 percent to 1,986 points.
Market Cap
Total market capitalisation had posted gains worth 7.6 billion Egyptian pounds ($482.2 million) to close at 616.822 billion pounds on Thursday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Thursday, the trading value has neared 1.192 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost reached 363.4 million securities executed over 41,000 transactions.
