Egypt’s stock exchange indexes end higher, EGX 30 gains 2% on Sunday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing by 2.07 percent to 11,391 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) surged 2.80 percent to 1,740 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped rose 2.05 percent to 13,351 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also climbed 2.60 percent to 2,638 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 2.06 percent higher to 2.006 points.
Market Cap
Total market capitalisation made gains worth 5 billion Egyptian pounds ($313.8 million), closing at 627.2 billion pounds at the end of Sunday’s trade.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Sunday, the trading value hit around 1.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost neared 527 million securities executed over 49,000 transactions.
