Egypt’s stock market closes lower, EGX 30 inches 0.56% lower on Sunday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended lower on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index inching down 0.56 percent to 10,456 points driven by local and Arab investors’ selloff.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) also fell 0.88 percent to 1,854 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped lost 0.81 percent to 12,377 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 dropped 0.91 percent to 2,718 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 went down 0.93 percent to 1,971 points.

Total market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 4.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($274.5 million) to close at 601.084 billion pounds on Sunday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Sunday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 304.7 million securities executed 32,105 transactions.
