Egypt’s stock market ends mixed, EGX 30 falls 0.72% on Wednesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed mixed on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 0.72 percent to 10,997 points driven by local investors’ selloff.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) advanced 1.20 percent to 1,977 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped 1.11 percent to 12,943 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 rose 0.89 percent higher to 2,889 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 was 0.49 percent up to 2,103 points.

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 2.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($146.9 million) to close at 625.683 billion pounds on Wednesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Wednesday, the trading value has approximately reached 3.2 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 522 million securities executed 49,932 transactions.
