Egypt’s stocks close lower, benchmark EGX 30 tumbles 0.34% on Sunday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended lower on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index moving down by 0.34 percent to 11,507 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) also fell 0.55 percent to 2,439 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped 0.49 percent to 14,188 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 inched down 0.54 percent to 3,469 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 plummeted 0.70 percent lower to 2,417 points.

Total market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 1.4 billion Egyptian pounds ($89.6 million) to close at 706.445 billion pounds driven by local and Arab investors’ selling pressures on Sunday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Sunday, the trading value has approximately reached 3.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 544.296 million securities executed 54,086 transactions.
