Egypt’s stocks end higher on Sunday, benchmark EGX 30 advances 0.87%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes finished higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index advancing 0.87 percent to 10,393 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) jumped 3.16 percent to 1,936 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped edged up 1.18 percent to 12,814 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 climbed 2.67 percent to 2,868 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 increased 2.80 percent to 1,998 points.

Total market capitalisation has on Sunday posted gains worth 6.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($394.7 million), ending the trading at 684.592 billion pounds boosted by local and Arab investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 2.6 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 454.748 million securities executed 34,610 transactions.
