Egypt’s stocks end higher on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 edges up 0.77%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index increasing 0.77 percent to 10,768 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) surged 1.24 percent to 2,162 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped went up 1.12 percent to 13,047 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 advanced 1.22 percent to 3,097 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 gained 0.86 percent to 2,109 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has on Tuesday posted gains worth 6.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($401.8 million), ending the trading at 672.151 billion pounds buoyed by foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 2.2 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 418.931 million securities executed 39,842 transactions.
