Egypt’s stocks end week lower, benchmark EGX 30 falls 0.30%
Egypt’s stocks (EGX) close lower on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 0.30 percent to 11,709 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) dropped 0.38 percent to 1,995 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped went down 0.11 percent to 14,198 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 edged 0.16 percent lower to 2,016 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 decreased 0.32 percent to 3,022 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 776 million Egyptian pounds ($42.3 million), ending the trading at 750.017 billion pounds driven by local and Arab investors’ selloff.

Trading value has approximately reached around 1.4 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded around 356.405 million securities executed 48,134 transactions.
