Egypt’s stocks end week lower, benchmark EGX 30 plummets 0.52%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index tumbling 0.52 percent to 11,334 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell 0.24 percent to 2,186 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dipped 0.20 percent to 13,905 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also dropped 0.15 percent to 3,199 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 went down 0.10 percent to 2,236 points.

Total market capitalisation has on Thursday incurred losses close to 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($63.8 million), ending the trading at 689.865 billion pounds.
