Egypt’s stocks end week mixed, benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.73%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has closed in mixed notes on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding 0.73 percent to 11,534 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went down by 0.28 percent to 2,115 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped surged by 1.34 percent to 13,699 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 rose by 0.22 percent to 2,007 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 gained 0.35 percent to 3,121 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains worth 6.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($395.3 million), ending the trading at 730.176 billion pounds buoyed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 4.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 733.675 million securities executed 40,077 transactions.
