The Trade Ministry is due to decide before next Sunday 11 October whether to cut or extend anti-dumping duties of of 25 percent imposed on steel rebar and iron billets , Al Borsa News reports.
In 2019, the country’s ministry of trade and industry issued a decision to temporarily impose a new 16 percent fee on iron billets and a 25 percent fees steel rebars
The government has been planning to gradually taper off the rates over a three year period from the date of rolling out the tariffs, but authorities postponed the reductions twice, the latest of which was in April.
