The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Algeria hit $938 million during 2018, announced the Egyptian Commercial Service on Thursday.
Egyptian exports to Algeria reached $550 million and they include finished and intermediate goods as well as raw materials, it said in a statement.
Egyptian imports from Algeria account for $399 million, it added.
The statement noted that deputy chairman of the authority Wael Aref took part in a meeting at the Algerian Trade Ministry and requested the Algerian side to reconsider the list of products with additional taxes.
The Algerian trade minister promised to examine these lists to take right decisions towards them.
