Egypt’s TUYA partners with Spain’s OPENKM to boost digital transformation

Egypt’s TUYA Technology has signed on Monday a partnership agreement with Spain’s OPENKM, a global leader in digital document management, to enhance its technological capabilities, according to a Cabinet statement issued on Monday.

The partnership grants TUYA access to OPENKM’s advanced software solutions, enabling their integration into the digital document systems of the National Authority for Military Production and its subsidiaries.

As part of the agreement, TUYA Technology has also been appointed as the exclusive distributor and technical support provider for OPENKM software in Egypt and across the Middle East.

TUYA Technology, established by the Ministry of Military Production, specializes in information systems, digital transformation, and business development. The company is dedicated to improving data management efficiency for public and private institutions through cutting-edge technological solutions that save time, effort, and costs.

Previously operating under the name Military Production for Information Systems, TUYA Technology plays a pivotal role in Egypt’s software and IT sector. Its portfolio includes landmark projects, such as implementing a prepaid ticketing system for 1,800 buses operated by the Cairo Transport Authority.

This partnership underscores TUYA’s commitment to advancing digital transformation initiatives and fostering innovation across the region.
