Emirates NBD Egypt posts 847 million pounds in nine-month profit

The Egyptian arm of Dubai largest lender Emirates NBD has posted a nine-month profit worth 847 million Egyptian pounds ($48 million), Emirates NBD Egypt’s board member announced Saturday.

Total assets surged to 51.6 billion pounds at the end of September, Giel-Jan M Van Der Tol, further said on the sidelines of signing a new strategic partnership with FC Barcelona.

Loans at Emirates NBD Egypt reached 19.3 billion, while deposits recorded 38.2 billion pounds, Der Tol added.
