European Commission approved a new financing for unions and chambers of industry and commerce in the Southern Mediterranean region, including Egypt, said an Egyptian official on Sunday.
The new financing is in form of a grant worth €5 million that will be provided over three years, Alaa EZZ, Secretary General of the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA), said.
Ezz made his remarks following a meeting with Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.
