Industrial producer prices rose by 0.8 per cent in July 2024, in both the euro area and the EU, up from a 0.6 per cent increase in June, according to Eurostat’s latest estimates.
However, on an annual basis, prices fell by 2.1 per cent in the euro area and 1.9 per cent in the EU compared to July 2023.
Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania saw the highest monthly price increases, with 3.6 per cent, 2.9 per cent, and 2.7 per cent growth, respectively.
In contrast, Sweden, Finland, and Austria recorded declines. Over the past year, Slovakia, Luxembourg, and Latvia experienced the steepest price drops, while Ireland, Romania, and Portugal saw notable price hikes.
