FEI: Egyptian Printing Houses Spends EGP 150mln On Ink

The journalistic institutions and the government printing houses consumed 3000 tons of ink, with EGP 150 million costs, from foreign agencies and companies; even there is a local company, Pachin, which manufactures the ink with high quality more than the imported product.

Khaled Abdo, chairman of the board of Printing Industries Chamber, Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), referred to the necessity of ministerial decision of giving the priority to the local product more than the its imported counterpart in case of having the same quality. He criticized the journalistic institutions and the government printing houses which imported ink from abroad.

He added that the foreign agencies which export to these authorities deliberately fight the company; referring that using the local product, which is distinguished by high quality, will greatly help in developing the Egyptian industry on the local and international levels.
