The Egyptian government will expand the scope of random check to include all compliant taxpayers, subject to clear and specific criteria for all tax centres, regions and tax commissariats.
Speaking with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, headed by Ahmed El Wakil, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk stated that the government will simplify tax procedures and returns to save tax payers time and effort.
The minister emphasised the importance of working to support the cash flow of companies through a centralised settlement mechanism, as well as expediting and simplifying the procedures for refunding value-added tax.
