France’s Servier eyes expansion in Egypt’s pharma market

Egypt’s Healthcare Authority (EHA) Chairman Ahmed El-Sobky held a meeting with a delegation from French pharmaceutical giant Servier to explore opportunities for expanding the company’s investments in Egypt’s pharmaceutical sector.

The discussions centered on strengthening local drug manufacturing capabilities, enhancing the quality of production, and advancing the development of specialised pharmaceutical products. The Servier delegation provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s work in oncology, cardiology, and diabetes treatment, highlighting its contributions to Egypt’s pharmaceutical industry.

Key topics included plans to scale up the production capacity of Servier’s local manufacturing facilities to meet increasing market demand while maintaining strict quality standards. The meeting also delved into potential collaborations to introduce advanced cancer treatment technologies in Egypt.

Additionally, the talks covered initiatives to boost the healthcare sector, including sending medical training missions to France and offering specialised training for Egyptian researchers in areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, and market analysis, to further enhance the capabilities of Egypt’s healthcare workforce.
