Gazprom signs gas deal w/ Iran

Russia’s Gazprom has signed a memorandum with Iran’s National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) to supply Russian pipeline gas, marking a significant move amidst US sanctions affecting Iran’s gas exports.

This follows Gazprom’s previous energy cooperation efforts with NIOC, although concrete deals have yet to materialise from that agreement worth approximately $40 billion.
