Gazprom supplies 42mcm of gas daily to Europe

Gazprom has confirmed supplying 42 million cubic metres of gas per day to Europe via the Sudzha gas pumping station in Russia’s Kursk Region, following a rejection of its request to use the Sokhranovka gas station by Ukrainian authorities.

As of August 18, the transit volume remains consistent with recent days, though slightly lower than the previous day’s 42.3 million cubic metres. August’s average pumping has been above 41 million cubic metres.

The Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) also reported that gas transit on August 18 is expected to match this volume.

Gazprom spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov noted that recent disruptions in the Sudzha area have led to a significant rise in gas prices.
