Gold prices increased Wednesday as investors awaited the US consumer price inflation report for insights into the Federal Reserve’s interest rate plans.
Spot gold prices increased at 6:55 AM GMT by 0.14 per cent to $2,681.17 per ounce, compared to the previous closing price of $2,677.35.
Meanwhile, US gold futures rose 0.50 per cent to $2,681.17, compared to Tuesday’s closing of $2,682.3.
