Gold prices increased in early trading at 6:03 GMT on Monday, driven by increased uncertainty ahead of a week filled with key economic data releases.
Spot gold prices surged by 0.28 per cent to $2,629.70 per ounce, compared to the weekend’s closing price of $2,622,27. US gold futures also gained 0.28 per cent to 2,653.50, compared to Friday’s closing of 2,646.2.
