Gold slips at Monday trade opening
Gold prices dipped on Monday as the US dollar maintained its strength, and investors eagerly awaited key US economic data for insights into the Federal Reserve’s potential monetary policy adjustments.
Spot gold prices dropped at 6:44 GMT by 0.12 per cent to $2,744.45 per ounce, compared to weekend’s closing price of $2,747.69. While, US gold futures rose 0.06 per cent to $2,756.30, compared to Friday’s closing of $ 2,754.6.
