An alliance of two major construction firms; Hassan Allam and Consolidated Contractors International Co. (CCC) will sign Wednesday an agreement with state-run Egyptian Electricity Holding to establish a power plant in West Cairo.
The project is one of the biggest power plants to be carried out by the alliance in Egypt, said Mohamed Tarek, Business Development Manager for North Africa at CCC.
It is due to be completed in two years at a capacity of 650 megawatts, Tarek further told Amwal Al Ghad on Tuesday.
The alliance won last March a tender to establish the West Cairo power plant, he added.
CCC has been working in alliance with Hassan Allam since 2001 to carry out power projects, Tarek said.
