HSBC Egypt: Retail Loans Registered EGP 2.8 Bln In June 2012

HSBC Bank Egypt said the value of retail finances registered EGP 2.855 billion at the end of June 2012, up from EGP 2.656 billion at the end of 2011, with an increase of EGP 199.6 million.

The personal loans accounted for 70% of the total value of retail loans, registering EGP 1.983 billion at the end of June 2012, up from EGP 1.809 billion at the end of 2011.

The value of real estate loans registered EGP 11.861 million at the end of the first half of 2012, down from EGP 12.068 million at the end of the last year.

The value of credit cards surged by EGP 52 million, registering EGP 510.8 million at the end of June 2012, up from EGP 458.8 million at the end of 2011. The current accounts and the accounts payable registered EGP 349.4 million, down from EGP 375.3 million at the end of 2011.
