The HTC One M9, the new flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese electronics maker, was today launched in the UAE.
The new device features a 20-megapixel main camera, with 4K video and 5.1 Dolby surround sound. It will be available in dual-tone silver and rose gold, single-tone gunmetal grey, single-tone gold and dual-tone gold and pink.
“Last year we exponentially exceeded our target of achieving double digit growth,” said Ramit Harisinghani, head of sales, HTC Middle and Africa.
“We achieved a triple figure growth in terms of sales between 2013 and 2014 in the MEA region. I am confident that the HTC One M9 will take us to record breaking heights in terms of sales in 2015 and beyond.”
The phone will be priced at Dh2,749 and available at UAE retailers from the end of the month.
It will come up against the soon-to-be released Samsung Galaxy S6 at the high end of the smartphone market. Both phones were announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this month.
