India plans to establish coal exchange

India’s coal minister, G. Kishan Reddy, announced plans to establish a coal exchange aimed at stabilising prices and improving the availability of the fuel.

Speaking at an industry event on Monday, Reddy revealed that the government had recently received a briefing on setting up the coal exchange. However, he did not disclose a specific timeline for its establishment.
