Industry Minister: Government Encourages Investors, Seeks Removing Obstacles

Minister of Industry and Trade Munir Fakhri Abdel Nour toured on Sunday 27/10/2013 a number of factories in the 6th of October industrial zone.

The minister was posted on the industrial development process and the problems facing industrialists and workers.

In press statements, Abdel-Nour said he will hold within the coming few days intensive talks with the governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and representatives from banks about the ways and means of securing needed funds for reviving the industrial sector.

He said the government adopts a package of economic and financial policies that are meant to secure needed funds to encourage investors and remove obstacles hampering production.

He added that the ministry is implementing a comprehensive program for supporting cash-strapped factories to re-operate after they were forced to close during the incidents that gripped the country over the past two years.
