Insurance Federation Committees Resume Activities

The technical committees of the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) will resume their work in the upcoming period after being stopped in Ramadan month.

Ahmed Morsi, head of engineering insurance committee, said the nuclear insurance policy will be translated during the next meeting to be sent afterwards to the Executive Council for Property and Liability Insurance to be approved and launched in the Egyptian market. Afterwards, the committee will begin translating the stock corruption insurance policy.

Ahmed Aboul Enein, head of motor insurance committee, said the committee will finalize all the amendments of the  supplemental car insurance policy and send it to the IFE and the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) to be sent afterwards to insurance companies.

Ali Bashendy, head of accident miscellaneous insurance committee, said the committee will study improving the personal accident insurance policy and discussing extending coverage against terrorism and sabotage to the insurance policy.

In addition, the health care insurance committee will study the insurance policy of medical treatment at private hospitals, while the personal life assurance and actuarial experience committee will study the conditions of the Takaful insurance policy.
