Ione Belarra removed from Spain cabinet over Palestine solidarity

The Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez removed Ione Belarra, Minister of Social Rights, from the cabinet for showing support to Palestine.

The minister has been outspoken about her support for the Palestinian cause since the eruption of the attacks.

She has pursued war crime charges against Israel before the International Criminal Court.

Belarra also accused Israel of “live genocide” and suggested that the Israeli Prime Minister should face war crime charges.

During a meeting with the Palestinian community in Spain last week, she said ” your cause is the cause of all decent and honourable people in the world,”
