Jean Kaseya thanks Egypt for its concern for health sector in Africa
Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) director general, Jean Kaseya, thanked Egypt for caring about the health sector in Africa.
Kaseya made his statement during the Africa Health ExCon on Tuesday, where he thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the Egyptian government.
“We have suffered a lot from the COVID pandemic which has killed and taken many lives, and together, side by side we have actively confronted this virus,” he said.
Kaseya also said that health conferences play a vital role for the development of the health sector in the African continent.
He talked as well about the continent’s need to access medicines, highlighting that this is a critical stage in the development of the health sector.
