Saudi Arabia is set to invest $800 billion in the tourism sector over the next ten years, said the Kingdom’s Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb on Sunday.
According to Al-Khateeb, tourism and travel count for 4.5 percent of the Kingdom’s GDP, up from three percent in 2019.
The ministry is currently working on achieving the 2030 Vision of reaching a GDP of ten percent.
The minister’s statements were made during the 10th edition of the Arab-China Businessmen Conference, where he invited Chinese investors and travellers to the Kingdom.
