The construction of the second phase will be ready by the end of 2019, according to Mubasher.
Executed at a total value of AED 200 million, the contract stipulates DSI’s execution of construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works, in addition to the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical works in the colleges of Arts and Education.
The new campus has received the first batch of students for the first semester of the new 2019-2020 academic year last week. Kuwait’s Ministers of Education and Higher Education visited the campus meanwhile.
The opening of the six new faculties came in agreement with the recommendations of the Higher Council of the university. The remaining faculties are nearing completion predating their gradual opening, Kuwait’s Minister of Higher Education Hamed Al Azmi asserted.
