The Kuwaiti Consumer Price Index (CPI) sees a 3.69 percent jump on an annual basis last May, the State of Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau (KCSB) said in a statement on Sunday.
The inflation rate in Kuwait increased by 0.15 percent on a monthly basis in May, as a result of the increase in prices of all main groups that influence the movement of key indices, specifically food, education, and clothing, said the KCSB.
Food and beverages increased by 6.85 percent, compared to May of last year, while the price index of cigarettes and tobacco increased by 0.30 percent on an annual basis, clothing increased by 6.80 percent, and housing services increased by 2.55 percent.
