Lakah Soars 10.17%, Leads OTC Upwards; Wednesday

On Wednesday, Lakah Group (HCFI)’s stock has set a new record during Egyptian Exchange’s Over-The-Counter (OTC) trading session on Wednesday. Lakah jumped 10.17% to end at EGP 0.65 after trading in 2.4 million securities worth EGP 1.5 million exchanged through 256 transactions.

Arab Gulf Investment (AGIN) soared by 4 % to end at EGP 0.26. Souhag National Food Industries (SNFI) rose by 0.79% to close at EGP 19.09.

On the other hand, the stock of Industrial & Engineering Projects (IEEC) dived by 2.52% to conclude at EGP 11.62 after trading in 90.9 thousand securities worth EGP 1.05 million exchanged through 130 transactions.

Egyptian Exchange has made modifications to the timing of Over-The-Counter (OTC) trading session to be from (12:30 till 01:00 p.m.) instead of (02:45 till 03:15 p.m.).

EGX Chairman Mohamed Omran has noted that the new modifications made to the OTC session timing come within the framework of making the best use of time as well as resources and of securing the interests of all the market parities.The new modifications came to effect on Monday’s trading session (September 17th).
