The hotels’ occupancy in the coastal places highly hiked during Eid El Fater holiday to revive the interior tourism.
Magdy Selim, chairman of interior tourism sector, Egyptian Tourism Authority(ETA), said the occupancy rates in the hotels and resorts in Sharm Al Sheikh and Hurghada raised 80% during the feast holiday; compensating the retreat of exterior tourism which the hotels confronted after Rafah Attack.
Selim said the rise of the occupancy rates are due to the retreat of tourism during Ramadan (an Islamic month).
The tourism sector is awaiting the calls of million-man protest on August 24, which known as toppling MB (Muslim Brotherhood).
Mohamed Amin, director of international tourism sector, ETA, said the tourism sector and the tourism agents abroad are awaiting the results of the protest on August 24th.
