MasterCard: PPP is the future of e-payment industry in Egypt

Partnerships between private and public sector play a vital role in promoting and facilitating the usage of electronic payment systems in Egypt, said MasterCard’s President for Middle East and North Africa on Monday.

Speaking at Euromoney Egypt Conference kicked off in Cairo, Khalid El Gibaly said officials in Egypt are keen to make new technological innovations in e-payment industry.

MasterCard is ready to realise up-to-date payment solutions that will lead to lower usage of real-cash transactions, El Gibaly added.

El Gibaly also revealed his company’s plans to enter new partnerships with Egyptian government to accelerate financial inclusion.
