German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is keen to boost its investments in Egypt in the upcoming period, head of the Egyptian investment authority (GAFI) announced Saturday.
Mohamed Khodair, head of the Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), made his remarks following his meeting with a Mercedes-Benz delegation headed by Thomas Zorn, CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Egypt in Cairo on Saturday.
The officials tackled Mercedes-Benz’s ongoing business alongside its future investment plans in Egypt.
Khodair told the delegation that GAFI is keen to provide support for Mercedes-Benz necessary to push its investments in the country forward in order to make Egypt a regional hub for Mercedes-Benz Group in Africa and the Middle East.
Thomas Zorn announced that a high-profile delegation headed by Chairman of Mercedes-Benz Group will visit Egypt soon to meet with government officials.
