Minister Al-Hajraf In Cairo For Eco. Council Meeting

Kuwaiti Minister of Finance, Education and Acting Minister of Higher Education Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf arrived here on Wednesday for a two-day visit, where he is due to head his country’s delegation in the 90th session of Economic and Social Ministerial Council, scheduled to kickoff tomorrow.

Upon arrival, the minister was received by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt Dr. Rasheed Al-Hamad and Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait in the Arab League Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim.

During his visit, Al-Hajraf is due to meet with the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Hisham Qandil and Finance Minister Momtaz Al-Saeed, talks are expected to focus on strengthening economic relations between the two countries, increasing Kuwaiti investments and providing loans to support development projects through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

Last night, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah met during his visit to Egypt with Qandil. Talks between the two highlighted, among other issues, Al-Hajraf’s visit and means to support Egyptian economy.
