The Egyptian Finance Minister Momtaz El Saeed said that regaining Tora inmates’ money for Egypt interest due to the hard circumstances that the county lives; especially the shrinking of cash reserve and the increase of budget deficit.
As a minister, he said, I think it’s better to start negotiation as long as the law is not against reconciliation in financial corruption cases. He mentioned that a few of Tora inmates haven’t decided to start negotiation so far. The minister explained that the regaining money will be added to the cash reserve and treasury, and he said that this matter to be done by Ministry of Justice and its formed commission.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian initiative for regaining Egypt’s smuggling money explained that reconciliation doesn’t concern the government or any officials but it concern only PA. It estimated the smuggling money with $ 225 billion. In case of having political actions, the government surly will reach good results in regaining Egypt’s money.
On its side, the defense of martyrs’ families and injured refused the offer of Tora’s inmates and Hussein Salem in return for reconciliation. The defense’s coordinator and MB’s lawyer Abdel Monem Abed Al Maksoud said that the offer is completely refused, as those committed criminal crimes against the society. He called on the officials to wait till courts use the right law.
