Misr Insurance wins drugmaker Nile Pharma’s $4.2 mln medical policy

Egypt’s Misr Insurance has won a medical insurance policy designated for the workers in drugmaker Nile Company for Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries (Nile Pharma).

The insurance policy is with total sum insured of around 37.03 million Egyptian pounds ($4.2 million), sources with knowledge of the matter told Amwal Al Ghad on Monday.

The policy will serve around 2469 employees working in Nile Pharma, by providing medical insurance coverage including surgeries, endoscopes, in addition to the medical bills, outpatient clinics, medicines, dental treatments, and chronic diseases, the sources added.

The coverage will worth 15,000 pounds per person, according to the insurance policy, which will be one-year renewable term, the sources said.

Misr Insurance has mandated Smart Medical Services to run the insurance policy.
