Mongolia’s foreign trade turnover increased by 13 per cent year-on-year to $20.4 billion in the first three quarters of this year, as per Mongolian Customs General Administration data released on Wednesday.
The country reported a trade surplus of approximately $3.2 billion, driven by a significant increase in mining product exports. Mining products made up 93.2 per cent of total exports.
China was the main export destination and import source, accounting for 91.5 per cent and 39.8 per cent respectively.
